Terms of use

1. Scope

Scentral-Park is a public, free fragrance-oil catalog operated by Exaptation GmbH (see imprint). The catalog aggregates publicly available product and regulatory data from independent suppliers for reference by formulators.

2. No party to your purchase

Scentral-Park does not sell products. Purchases happen directly with each supplier; the supplier is the sole contractual counterparty. Prices, availability, and delivery terms may change between our last crawl and your visit.

3. IFRA data and responsibility

The IFRA maximum-use percentages (Amendment 51) shown reflect what each supplier had published at our last crawl. They are information, not legal or expert advice. Verify against the supplier's original IFRA certificate before any commercial formulation. Use of the catalog is at your own risk.

4. Permitted use

• Personal and business research within normal catalog use.
• Automated use only in compliance with our robots.txt and the rules on our bot info page.
• AI agents may call the public MCP server at mcp.scentral-park.com anonymously, subject to edge rate limits (30 req/s per IP, 20× burst).

Prohibited: full-catalog scrapes to build competing catalogs, circumvention of rate limits, misrepresentation of the displayed data (reverse-proxying with altered content), and any use that infringes the rights of listed suppliers.

5. Trademarks and intellectual property

All product names, supplier names, images, and descriptions are property of the respective suppliers. The catalog's aggregation and presentation (structure, categorisation, unit conversions, chrome translations) is a database work of Exaptation GmbH under §§ 87a et seq. UrhG (German Copyright Act). Image URLs resolve to supplier CDNs and are not stored by us.

6. Liability

We are liable under statutory rules for intent and gross negligence. For ordinary negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations and limited to typically foreseeable damages. We give no warranty as to the accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of the aggregated supplier data, nor for the availability or content of linked supplier websites.

7. Changes

We update these terms when the service or the legal landscape changes. The date above shows the most recent change.

8. Governing law and venue

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Venue for merchants is the seat of Exaptation GmbH; for consumers, statutory rules apply.
